Emmys 2024 Matthew Perry tribute leaves fans in tears: 'Wasn't ready'

Matthew Perry passed away in October from 'the acute effects of ketamine'.

He spent 10 years playing one of the most-loved characters to ever grace our screens and Monday night’s Emmy Awards left fans in tears after paying tribute to Matthew Perry. The 54-year-old, who played Chandler Bing on the iconic show Friends, passed away in October from “the acute effects of ketamine” and was found unresponsive in his LA home jacuzzi.

The 2024 Emmys honoured Matthew perfectly on Monday night in LA during the In Memoriam segment, with Charlie Puth teaming up with Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter from The War and Treaty to perform his massive hit See You Again.
