Yahoo Lifestyle Emma Stone Dresses As a Giant Popcorn Bucket on the 'SNL50' Red Carpet
With two Oscars to her name, Emma Stone is a bona fide movie star, but her red-carpet look for the SNL50: The Anniversary Special on Sunday night was giving concession stand.
Joining fellow A-list attendees like Tina Fey, Paul Rudd, Maya Rudolph, Miley Cyrus and more on the carpet ahead of the big anniversary show — which is airing live from the iconic Studio 8H at New York City's Rockefeller Center on NBC and Peacock beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern Time — The Curse actress was decked out in a strappy crimson gown fitted with not just pockets, but popcorn-filled pockets. These glitzy Hollywood events are notoriously low on food, so we don't blame the Five Timers Club member for shrewdly bringing her own nosh.
The Poor Things star kept the fun kernel-themed going with a classic red-and-white-striped box of popcorn as an accessory, which she sweetly shared with husband Dave McCary, who is a member of the extended SNL family, working as a segment director and writer for the iconic sketch-comedy series from 2013 through 2018. The comedic couple previously attended the SNL50: The Homecoming Concert event on Friday, Feb. 14 — you could catch them seated up front near Rudd, Anya Taylor-Joy and other Hollywood heavyweights while taking in live musical performances from Cher, Nirvana, Post Malone and more.
