Emily Ratajkoswki's career timeline

Emily hit the big time after appearing on Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines music video in 2013.

She went on to become a highly successful model and appeared in a number of films, including the 2014 thriller Gone Girl and Amy Schumer’s I Feel Pretty.

Her last film credit was in 2018, after which she decided to quit acting to focus on modelling, parenting, hosting her own podcast and becoming an author.

In 2021, Emily opened up about the reason she stepped away from acting, saying there was a lack of opportunity for her to become a "serious actress with longevity”.

"I didn't feel like, 'Oh, I'm an artist performing and this is my outlet.' I felt like a piece of meat who people were judging, saying, 'Does she have anything else other than her [breasts]?' " she told The Los Angeles Times.
