Emily Ratajkowski's post-birth snap called out by Aussie Claire Holt
Australian actress Claire Holt has spoken out against Emily Ratajkowski’s post-baby photos, saying seeing her with a flat stomach 10 days after welcoming her baby ‘makes people feel s****y about themselves”.
Emily Ratajkowski gave birth to Sylvester Apollo Bear on March 8th and took to her Instagram over the weekend to upload snaps showing her modelling pyjamas from her Inamorata Woman collection, with her flat stomach on show.
Claire Holt, who has over six million followers on Instagram, and is best known for her roles in The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, took issue with the snaps and took to her Stories to vent her frustration.
“I try not to be the Grinch on here, but I really wanna say something cos it’s annoying me. If you post a picture of your completely flat stomach 10 days after having a baby and call that body positivity, to me that’s the same as posting a picture of the millions of dollars in your bank account and calling that success positivity,” Claire wrote.

“It might be true, but it makes other people feel shitty about themselves, and it’s not normal, and you’re an outlier, and you’re lucky. So maybe don’t show that part? Can we just use Instagram to try and make people feel included and not feel shit about themselves?”
Claire also posted an image of herself two weeks after giving birth to her daughter Elle to show the difference between her experience and Emily Ratajkowski’s.
Emily welcomed her baby with husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard, on March 8th, taking to Instagram on March 12th to announce the news.
“Sylvester Apollo Bear has joined us earth side. Sly arrived 3/8/21 on the most surreal, beautiful, and love-filled morning of my life.”
A whole range of celebrities lined up to wish her well in the comments section, with Kim Kardashian writing: “Congrats”.
Aussie supermodel Miranda Kerr wrote: “Congratulations Mama” and Bella Hadid said: “Congratulations sweet family”.
