Em Rusciano and Waleed Aly shared a surprise moment of ‘chemistry’ during Thursday’s episode of The Project.

The hilariously awkward interaction came during Em’s appearance on the Channel 10 show Waleed hosts, where she was promoting her new candid comedy tour.

After fielding questions from the rest of the panel the ex-radio host’s attention finally turned to Waleed, who stumbled before asking his long-awaited question.

“Oh hello, I always make you nervous,” Em told the host.

“I'm sorry. Why do we always have this weird chemistry when I see you? I love you, I think you're amazing.”

Em’s quip ushered a quick response from Gold Logie winner Waleed, who insisted his anxiety had another source.

“No, no, you don’t make me nervous,” he revealed. “I think you’re misunderstanding. I’m nervous because of the question I’m asking.”

Finally taking the plunge, he asked: “Tell us about the classically trained dancing vaginas?”

After studio-wide laughter from the audience, Em quickly clapped back a hilarious response of her own.

“I made Waleed Aly say ‘classically-trained dancing vaginas’. Put it on my IMDB!” she said.

But that wasn’t the end of the pair’s interaction, with Em continuing to explain the upcoming tour will put focus on vaginas - which she calls ‘the strongest part of the body’.

“I want everyone to ‘flap up’,” she told the panel.

Despite, his now in-depth knowledge of the show, it remains unclear whether Waleed will be in attendance when Em tours later this month.
