Ella Hunt, Storm Reid Help Fendi Toast Miami Design District Boutique, Design Miami

On Wednesday night, Fendi threw a proper housewarming for its expanded Miami Design District boutique. Brand chief executive officer Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou and designer Silvia Venturini Fendi hosted a party across two levels of the store, which channels design inspiration from Miami and Rome.

Guests — many dressed and accessorized by Fendi — included Ella Hunt, Ella Rubin, Alessandra Ambrosio, Victor Cruz, Storm Reid, Jonathan Daviss, Craig Robins, Devon Windsor, Olivia Ponton and Valeria Lipovetsky.

“I’ve never even been to Miami,” said Hunt, who was in town for only a few days for the Fendi event. “We’re popping my Basel cherry. It’s chaos, but kind of delightful chaos. I’m having a good time.”

The British actress has had a busy fall with the recent release of her film “Saturday Night,” in which she stars as original “SNL” castmember Gilda Radner.

“We’ve been having a very lovely time chatting about that lovely goof of a movie,” Hunt said. “And I’m about to release a music project that I’m really excited about — at the moment, all I’m saying is it’s a project.”

Silvia Venturini Fendi, holding court on the boutique’s second floor, was reveling in the energy of Miami Art Week. The brand has been an official partner of the Design Miami fair for more than 10 years.

“There’s a good energy in the city,” she said. “You can see that people enjoy what they see, and enjoy being together. Every time I come [to Miami], I see something that has changed. Which for me — I live in Rome where everything is so stable — it’s interesting.”

The brand leans into the idea of change via its Design Miami Fendi Casa booth, which each year taps an emerging designer to reinvent the Peekaboo bag and collaborate on an installation for the fair. This year, the brand tapped Kent-based designer Lewis Kemmenoe.

“We really like to support newness,” Fendi said. “That was the aim from the very beginning of this project. We stay very focused on the project, and the project also grew organically. Today, with Fendi Casa, we continue the collaboration with some of the [designers].”
