Dynamic Doberman Duo Hits All the Right Notes with Silly Serenade
When it comes to dog breeds who tend to intimidate people, I would say that Dobermans have to be close to the top of the list. After all, they can be pretty big, and so fast and strong, and looking into their eyes, you can just tell they're smart, and unfortunately, not everyone assumes that they'll use those smarts for good. While it's certainly true that dogs who are trained to be aggressive will be aggressive, there are even more who are total sweethearts.
For example, the two Dobermans who are in this Instagram video and don't appear to have gotten the memo that they are supposed to be scary, imposing dogs. Instead, they're too busy showing off what beautiful voices they both have.
Let me introduce you to Gin and Juice, two Doberman pups who just so happen to have a talent for singing.
They're just laying on the ground together, harmonizing (well, sort of) and they are totally feeding off of each other. I have no idea what the song they're singing is about, but there's absolutely no doubt that it's something dramatic. Maybe it's something by Adele?
"They both need therapy or voice lessons," their human joked in the caption.
Hey, they sound great — and anyone who says otherwise simply has no ear for real music,
Commenters seem to agree with me there, and some even pointed out that their Dobermans at home tend to sing in a similar way. Some even happened to have reactions to hearing the singing on this video, which is too cute.
"When my Doberman heard this video his head went sideways several times and he started to cry and whine," one fellow dog mom wrote. Aww!
Are Dobermans Vocal Dogs?
If you adopt a Doberman or two in the hopes that they'll serenade you the way Gin and Juice are doing in the video above, you might want to think about it a little longer, because this isn't a guaranteed trait.
In fact, according to the pet organization PDSA, Dobermans are very often quiet dogs unless they need to bark to alert their humans of a change or a potential threat, since they do still have those guard dog instincts.
But still, the site points out that they aren't known to bark excessively, and that likely goes for the howl-like singing that's happening in the video. Gin and Juice are special dogs; not everybody can sing quite like they can!
Still Dobermans do make great pets, especially if you have a family. They are loyal, friendly, and will great companions — and don't worry, that bark will come out as necessary!
