Training season is over, because Dua Lipa is officially a Saturday Night Live host. Fresh off the release of her brand new album, Radical Album, the “End of an Era” singer took fans on a comedic ride with skits making light of everything from South Dakota governor Kristi Noem and penne alla vodka to red carpet fashion. While churning out the jokes, the singer brought her effortlessly cool aesthetic to her hosting gig with outfit changes including black fishnet-inspired pants and lace-up trousers that were giving Christina Aguilera circa “Dirrty.”

The Barbie star delivered her opening monologue in a slinky turtleneck LBD that featured a side slit that went all the way up to her hip and sheer black tights. Wearing the fiery red locks she’s been sporting lately in loose, natural waves, Dua Lipa told viewers that her new album is about “looking on the bright side of any situation.” Later, when SNL cast member Chloe Fineman showed up to perfect her best Dua Lipa impression, the “Don’t Start Now” singer showed up in an edgy black t-shirt with cutouts on the stomach, chest, and neck. She complemented the piece with cutout black pants featuring lace-up detailing on the sides. Later, the "Perfect" singer switched into another all-black ensemble, this time pairing a simple black tank top with crocheted black pants featuring a web-like pattern.

Dua Lipa’s hosting gig comes just days before her highly-anticipated return to the Met Gala. The actress, who confirmed she’ll be attending, told AP News during an April 30 interview she couldn’t wait for this year’s event, which has the theme "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion." Meanwhile, the dress code is "The Garden of Time." During the interview, Dua Lipa said she believes the theme will involve designers pulling from their archives or even designing something that had been in their mind for some time, but they hadn’t created yet.

“I think there are going to be lots of archive, vintage looks on the carpet this year,” she said, alluding to pieces from “different eras.” “It’s going to be interesting. I’m looking forward to it.”
