Drew Afualo Credits Astrology for Her Friendship with Chappell Roan: 'We're Twins' (Exclusive)
The pop singer joined Afualo on a July 17 episode of her hit podcast 'The Comment Section'
Drew Afualo hit it off big time with pop sensation Chappell Roan, and their connection might just have been written in the stars.
The influencer, 29, spoke to PEOPLE about some recent highlights in her life and career, including her collaborations with banking app Chime and the NBA, the latter of which featured her in a season tip-off commercial alongside Kelly Rowland. She also reflected the friendship she forged with Chappell Roan when the singer appeared on Afualo's podcast The Comment Section.
After the episode aired on July 17, the TikToker (and an avid astrology believer) tells PEOPLE that fans were quick to look skyward to reason why the duo had such a natural rapport.

"When people watched the episode and they loved it, they were like, 'This makes a lot of sense because [Roan is] a Pisces and you're a Virgo,'" Afualo recalls. "We got along very, very well. We're twins, she and I."
Afualo chalks up her sisterly bond with the "Pink Pony Club" singer to the fact that their star signs are "opposite on the natal chart." The bestselling author says it was "so strange" to see how much opposites really do attract during her conversation with Roan.
"There's a lot of similarity between her and I personality-wise, which I love. And she's a real earth baby too, and I'm an Earth sign," says Afualo. (Roan's star sign, Pisces, is a Water sign.)
Roan isn't the only friend Afualo considers an astrological match. The September-born Virgo also credits constellations for her close companionship with frequent collaborator Brittany Broski.

"My friend Brittany is a Taurus. And Tauruses, I get along with Tauruses so well, oh my gosh," she tells PEOPLE. Considering Afualo rose to fame by slamming misogynistic behavior online, it's no surprise that she clarifies, "Taurus women. I'm always going to say women specifically. Anyone that's just not an awful man, obviously."
The social media star — who is engaged to longtime partner Pili Tanuvasa — notes that she hasn't noticed any one particular star sign associated with said "awful" men, but she's experienced some friction with male counterparts to her own Virgo.
"I think more times than not, if they're an awful man and they're also a Virgo, they for real don't like me," Afualo quips. "I just think there can't be two of us. We're just too alike in that sense. Yeah, I would say Virgo men — the devil. But that's just me being biased."
