Don Jr.’s Girlfriend Front and Center at Inaugural Festivities Despite Trumpworld Doubts

Bettina Anderson, new girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr., was front and center throughout Inauguration weekend, despite a report that Trumpworld tried in vain to ward him off from a budding relationship with the Palm Beach socialite.

Seven friends of the Trump family told Mediaite last week that they were “deeply troubled” by the eldest son of President-elect Donald Trump’s new flame after his split from fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle.

Among those, one source told the outlet, was the family patriarch himself: “Donald Trump does not approve of his son’s association with Bettina. Bettina’s presence is seen as a liability rather than an asset.”

Mediaite said some Trumpworld insiders recommended that she be barred from attending the inauguration.

Anderson, however, was on hand as part of the Trump family entourage on Saturday night as they watched fireworks during a reception held at the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia.

On Sunday, she was on stage dancing with Don Jr. and Vice President-elect JD Vance to a performance of “YMCA” by the Village People, during the Turning Point USA Inaugural-Eve Ball at Washington’s Salamander Hotel.

Katherine Lugo, the founder of organic cosmetics brand Luka, was on hand to provide Anderson with makeup and fashion support, according to her Instagram profile.

Lugo shared several images of Anderson’s outfits worn throughout the weekend, including a “glam” houndstooth pattern Dolce & Gabbana getup on Monday for inauguration day.

One Trump family friend told Mediaite that Anderson is “not someone [Don Jr.] should be around” while another claimed they found the president-elect’s eldest son to warn him she had a party-hard reputation and was known to date wealthy men in their Palm Beach bubble.

Anderson’s representatives strongly denied the claims to Mediaite.

Guilfoyle, who remains well liked within the Trump orbit, was also in attendance at the Trump National Golf Club reception on Saturday.

In a testament to their amicable split, the former couple were also spotted together in close quarters at the Hotel Omni Shoreham for the Hispanic Inaugural Ball, of which Guilfoyle was honorary chair.

They both warmly greeted Eduardo Bolsonaro, the third child of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and a global Trump ally.
