Dogs Take Over New York Fashion Week Runway for Charity in Looks From Nicole Miller, Tommy Hilfiger and More at 2024 CatWalk FurBaby Show
The second annual CatWalk FurBaby runway returned to New York Fashion Week on Thursday, combining fashion and philanthropy in support of diverse charitable causes. The event, presented by Elysian Impact and hosted by New York Fashion Week founder Fern Mallis, took place at Sony Hall during Runway 7’s NYFW shows. Attendees included “White Lotus” actress Alexandra Daddario and former supermodel Carol Alt.
This year’s event highlighted Elysian Impact’s five focus areas: women, children, pets, public service and the environment. Organizations such as Operation Kindness, Rescue Dogs Rock NYC and the American Red Cross teamed up with models, designers and pet influencers to walk the runway, competing for one of three cash prizes in the categories of People’s Choice, Publisher’s Pick and Judges’ Pick.

The showcase featured a lineup of high-profile designers, including Nicole Miller, Tommy Hilfiger, D’Marsh Couture and “Project Runway” alum Johnathan Kayne. DJ and singer Chloe Jane, who is also Hilfiger’s goddaughter, walked the runway in a Tommy Hilfiger ensemble. Meanwhile, designer Nicole Miller showcased her own designs. Kayne accompanied actress Loretta Swit as she modeled his creations.
The 20 participating teams vied for top honors. Louisiana’s Companion Animal Alliance, collaborating with Queen of Sparkles and designer Jaime Glas Odom, secured the People’s Choice award. Texas’ Operation Kindness, along with D’Marsh Couture and model Gia Skova, claimed the Publisher’s Pick. New York’s NYC Second Chance Rescue, Nicole Miller, Canine Cashmere, and model Rachel Donohue were awarded the Judges’ Pick.
Last year, for the inaugural CatWalk FurBaby event, Elysian supported the Bissell Pet Foundation, a national animal welfare organization focused on ending pet homelessness. Designers who participated in the show to dress models and furry companions included CFDA designer Malan Breton, Gina Roberts, Nicole Miller, Marc Bouwer, Christina Rahm, Gloria Lee, Karen Caldwell and Victor de Souza.
