Doc Sneak Peek: CPR + a DNR = a Code Blue Dilemma for Amy (Exclusive)
Eep. It looks like another tough day as an intern for Dr. Amy Larsen, as seen in TVLine’s exclusive sneak peek from the next episode of Fox’s freshman medical drama, Doc.
Inspired by a true story and based on Italy’s Doc: Nelle tue mani, Doc stars Molly Parker (Deadwood) as the titular Amy, a hard-charging and icy-cold Chief of Internal Medicine who, following a car accident, cannot remember the past eight years of her life.

Given her memory gap and pending ongoing observation/evaluation, Amy has been stripped of her lab coat and forced back into scrubs. She cannot be addressed as “doctor,” she cannot prescribe medications, and she can only offer medical guidance in a roundabout way.
But in the sneak peek above from Episode 5, titled “He Ain’t Heavy” and airing Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 9/8c, Amy finds herself once again having to make a bold call when a patient flatlines and she leaps to administer CPR before being reminded that there is a DNR on file.
Adding to the mayhem, the young patient’s parents are standing outside the hospital room window as Amy swings into action. Will they condemn her ignoring of the DNR, or have a change of heart? Press play above to find out (and also proactively lament the talking-to Amy is going to get afterwards).
Elsewhere in this week’s episode of Fox’s Doc, Jake (Jon Ecker) deals with a fainting bride and her worried groom, while Amy’s ex-husband Michael (Omar Metwally) struggles with a secret he’s been keeping.
