Dixie D’Amelio Debuts ‘French Vanilla Blonde’ Color in Dramatic Hair Transformation

The new hair color was revealed on celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos' Instagram page on Sunday

It's a new month with a new hairstyle for Dixie D'Amelio!

The social media personality, 22, is gearing up for spring with platinum blonde hair, thanks to celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos, who revealed the transformation on his Instagram page Sunday.

The hair color — described by Giannetos as "French vanilla blonde" — is one D'Amelio said she was "so excited" to get done.

"It's so amazing," the TikTok star said in a behind-the-scenes video from Giannetos. "It's so blonde!" Giannetos said he obtained the "perfect blonde" for D'Amelio by using L'Oreal Paris Féria hair dye.

The celebrity hairstylist included a side-by-side photo of the transformation. A separate post shows that while D'Amelio's hair color has changed, the length of her hair remains the same.

The post included various photos of D'Amelio showcasing the new hair color in front of a black backdrop.

This isn't the first time D'Amelio has rocked blonde hair. Last year, she worked with Giannetos to transform her black pixie cut into chic, short blonde hair.

The change occurred just months after The D'Amelio Show star decided to cut her long black hair into a buzz cut. Regarding the process, D'Amelio shared in a YouTube video at the time that she wanted a "restart" and said it was something she had wanted to do "since like sixth grade."

Her sister Charli D'Amelio, previously credited her as one of her style influences during a July 2023 conversation with PEOPLE.

"Dixie keeps me in check for sure. I feel like I'm still developing my own personal style and figuring out what I like. Silhouettes I like on me, things that I said I would never ever wear, now I'm trying them out. So it's really fun and interesting," said Charli, 19.

Charli shared that Dixie is always open to giving her honest opinion about her wardrobe.

"I would say Dixie is definitely my hardest critic when it comes to clothes because she'll just say like, 'no, no, no.' But it's good to have that," said Charli.
