Disney influencer Dominique Brown dies at 34 after allergic reaction at food event: report
Dominique Brown, a Disney influencer and co-creator of Black Girl Disney merchandise, died earlier this week at age 34 after suffering a medical emergency at a food event in Los Angeles.
Brown, who described herself as “a theme park enthusiast and collector,” was attending a holiday food event hosted by BoxLunch when she reportedly had a severe allergic reaction to something she ate. Brown was later seen receiving CPR, according to a People reporter who was present at the event.
One person who said Brown was her mom’s best friend wrote on social media that the influencer asked to be taken to a hospital after feeling sick from unknowingly eating peanuts. Several social media users noted Brown had informed the hosts of her allergies, though those claims have not been verified.
BoxLunch, a “curated gift and novelty store” that provides meals to people in need, confirmed Brown died after a having “medical emergency” at their event.
“Our hearts go out to her family and friends, and we will do everything we can to support them and the members of the BoxLunch Collective and our team during this painful time,” the company said in a statement on Saturday.
Kicks at the Castle, a Disney-focused podcast, paid tribute to Brown, calling her a“true bright light in the Disney community.”
Her brother, Patrick Ramos, shared a message to fans on Instagram, thanking “her social media fam for showing her so much love and light.”
“I will miss my sister and best friend and that infectious smile she always had,” he wrote.
