Yahoo Lifestyle Disney+ Behind Feature Documentary About Caroline Flack
Disney+ is making a feature documentary about Caroline Flack, the ex-Love Island presenter who tragically took her own life in 2020.
Caroline [working title] will follow Flack’s mother, Christine Flack, as she seeks to understand the events that took place in the final months of her daughter’s life.

The film will be produced by Curious Films, the production company behind the 2021 documentary Caroline Flack: Her Life and Death for Channel 4.
The documentary will feature first hand testimony, among them Flack’s family and friends, as her mum embarks on a journey to uncover the truth around the circumstances that led to her tragically taking her own life in 2020.
Flack was a much-loved UK TV presenter whose death sent shockwaves and led to questions over treatment of on-screen talent by the press. She had in the months leading up to her death been charged with assaulting her boyfriend, and had stepped down from hosting Love Island. Her other credits included The X Factor, Big Brother’s Big Mouth and the Brit Awards.
Christine Flack said: “I still have so many questions about what happened to Caroline in her final months, and it’s something I feel deeply compelled to explore, even though I know it will be challenging. I’m pleased to be working with the team at Curious Films once again, in the hope of bringing clarity and understanding to Carrie’s story – not just for her, but for everyone who cared about her.”
Disney+ has also made UK docs about the Wagatha Christie scandal and Spencer Matthews’ search for the body of his brother on Everest.
Caroline (w/t) will be executive produced by Dov Freedman, Charlie Russell and Jessie Versluys for Curious Films. The documentary will be directed by Christian Collerton and produced by Sophie Clayton-Payne. The documentary was commissioned by Sean Doyle, Executive Director, Unscripted and is executive produced by Gaby Aung, Senior Manager, Unscripted for Disney+.
