Discover an Island Playground: Your Next Summer Break in Singapore

Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore is a one-stop shop for absolutely everything you want in a holiday, from splash parks to shark encounters, beach breaks and fabulous feasting.

Forget dragging suitcases around from place to place, or navigating confusing streets looking for that one restaurant everyone recommended. How about having to pack snacks and changes of clothes because it’s a whole day’s trip to the tourist attraction you came to see? Maybe you can’t even choose a holiday destination in the first place, because there’s nowhere on offer that ticks every box you’re after for a fun, stress-free holiday (where you can actually relax).

Well, we’ll let you in on a very valuable secret. There’s a little-known paradise in Singapore, framed by stretches of bright white sand and glittering waters, that is guaranteed to satisfy absolutely everyone’s wishes- the sunsoaked island of Sentosa. And thanks to the famous Resorts World Sentosa Singapore, the place is packed with every attraction a holidaymaker could wish for, from a wild splash park where kids (of all ages) can play all day, to Southeast Asia’s first and only Universal Studios theme park, plus the ultimate in luxe experience, and all in one jaw-droppingly beautiful place, with a world-class resort at its heart.

Resorts World Sentosa Singapore is a ‘city in a city’, a private, bustling metropolis boasting six sprawling hotels to explore, each custom designed with fun and relaxation in mind, offering the most luxurious spa treatments, fine dining and bespoke stays; but beyond the world-class rooms, you’ll discover a universe of excitement at Universal Studios Singapore, explore the underwater at S.E.A. Aquarium and get your thrills at the splash-tastic Adventure Cove Waterpark. Oh, and did we mention every single one of these diverse offerings is in one place? We did? Well, it’s worth repeating, because that fact alone makes Resorts World Sentosa a one-stop destination offering an entire trip that’s full of easy holiday fun for everyone, right outside your room.  Here are a few highlights.

Fun in sun: Meander down the waters of Adventure River, a free-floating tube ride at Adventure Cove Waterpark

 Adventure Cove Waterpark

Endless days splashing in the sun are what holidays are made of, and Adventure Cove Waterpark is exactly the right way to have that perfect holiday experience – just add water! The waterpark is found in Resorts World Sentosa Singapore (and incredibly, it’s just one of the drawcard parks on the grounds!) With six waterslides and a host of other attractions, the outdoor venue gives thrill seekers and sun seekers equal opportunity to do what they love.

Making a splash! Ride the Riptide Rocket’s twists and turns through lush tropical gardens at Resorts World Sentosa

Southeast Asia’s first hydro-magnetic coaster is a magnet for daredevils, but if maximum relax is your style, you’ll want to chill beside Bluwater Bay wave pool or take a tranquil float down Adventure River, a winding river ride that drifts through different zones from tropical jungle gardens to an underwater grotto of marine creatures. Peer into the depths of Rainbow Reef as you snorkel across the surface, and just like turning a kaleidoscope, you will see the 20,000 strong schools of colourful fish flashing past your flippers!

The Rainbow Reef is brimming with a riot of gorgeously coloured fish and coral

Who’ll love it: Adults looking for a cool break, teen adventure lovers with an appetite for action, older groups of travellers who hanker after a fun day out, and families looking for a place with a ride or experience to suit any age group.

Shark Seas: The dark depths of the aquarium reveal the ocean’s most fascinating predators as they feed

S.E.A. Aquarium

Take a deep breath and dive underwater to visit the fascinating sea creatures lurking beneath the surface at S.E.A. Aquarium - one of the world’s largest aquariums, teeming with life.

Shipwreck Habitat: A sunken ship is now home to masses of marine life (and a shark ray breeding program)

Younger kids will be enthralled by the haunting Shipwreck Habitat and its busy schools of yellow and silver skinned pompano and thin-finned batfish, plus a whole family of threatened shark rays who’ve set up home in the wreckage of a sunken ship. The famed (and super successful) breeding program has seen 25 shark rays born to date.

Open Ocean Habitat

To awe older kids, or for an immersive experience yourself,  the Open Ocean habitat lets you feel like you’re swimming with the fishes thanks to its floor-to-ceiling viewing panel, providing a window directly into the world of majestic manta rays, oversized, big-mouthed goliath groupers, spotted leopard sharks and 150 cool-eyed sharks circling the depths.

Who’ll love it: Families, especially with young kids who’ll love their glimpse of sea life; older kids and adult holidaymakers also won’t forget their close encounters with the sharks, and everyone will be fascinated by the array of fun facts and educational panels set throughout the centre.

There’s seven different ‘zones’ to explore where you can meet characters like Megatron and Bumblebee.
