Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert had a glam date night following the 2024 Emmy Awards!

The pro-dancer couple were dressed to the nines as they stepped out on Sunday, Sept. 15, to attend the Walt Disney Company's Emmy Awards Celebration at the Music Center in Los Angeles.

Hough, 39, was dressed in a classic black tuxedo with a peacock-feather-like lapel fixture, while Erbert, 29, rocked a silver minidress embellished that featured a feathery midsection surrounded by a bejeweled bodice and hem.

The evening out marks one of the first public events for the couple since Erbert underwent an emergency craniectomy in December 2023, after being hospitalized with a cranial hematoma.

She and Hough previously stepped out in June to attend the L.A. premiere of Inside Out 2, after wrapping up the Symphony of Dance tour with her husband the previous month.

In an Instagram post four days after the tour's wrap in San Diego, Erbert showcased the highlights of her return to the stage and penned a tribute to “one of the most fulfilling experiences” in her life.

“The Symphony of Dance tour has only been over for a few days and I still haven’t quite found the words to express my emotions,” the dancer wrote. “When we kicked it off in September, I was on cloud nine; getting to travel and perform with my newlywed husband, doing the most challenging show I have ever done in my entire life.”

She continued, “Then December 6th rolled around, and everything came to a screeching halt.”

Despite her “uncertainty” about resuming the tour only months after her health scare, Erbert proclaimed, “I DID IT!”

“This tour reignited many parts of me that have been dim for so long. So, for that, I cannot thank everyone who came out to support us on this wild journey enough. I am so grateful to still be here, with you all, doing what I love,” she concluded. “Thank you, thank you, thank you 🫶.”

On Dec. 7, 2023, Hough revealed on Instagram that Erbert had been rushed to the hospital after experiencing symptoms of a cranial hematoma — when blood collects in the skull — while on tour. A week later, he posted another update saying his wife needed a skull implant to “replace the piece [of the skull] that was removed during the craniectomy.”

Following the surgery, the couple, who married in August 2023, shared an emotional video on Instagram following the surgery in which they discussed Erbert's “miraculous” recovery and thanked everyone who sent words of support amid her recuperation.
