Demi Moore has won yet another award for her role in The Substance—and this time, an old colleague was there to present it to her. Earlier this week, Moore was given the AARP Award for Best Actress by her old General Hospital co-star, John Stamos.

Stamos later took to Instagram to share a touching message about the adorable reunion. "Demi and I go back over 40 years, to when we played Blackie and Jackie on General Hospital," he wrote in a lengthy caption next to a video that showed them as young actors on the soap opera. "We had big hair, big dreams, and enough hairspray between us to single-handedly destroy the ozone layer."

Stamos then praised Moore for her award-winning turn in The Substance. "Her performance in The Substance doesn’t just push boundaries—it flips them the bird and walks away in slow motion!" he went on. "It takes on themes of aging, body trauma, and the relentless pressure to stay forever young, forcing us to confront the absurd idea that a woman’s worth has an expiration date."

It's a theme that Moore herself has had to reckon with in her career, as she described last month in her Golden Globes acceptance speech. Stamos also noted the parallels between the film and Moore's journey. He concluded, "Spoiler alert: it doesn’t. If anything, Demi is proof that some things only get better with time—like fine wine, classic rock, and the number of abs she has."

The pair first met while playing Jackie Templeton and Blackie Parrish in General Hospital back in 1982. Both starred on the show until 1984—Moore went on to find fame in St. Elmo's Fire, Indecent Proposal, and Ghost, while Stamos starred in Full House and ER.
