Demi Lovato's Fiancé Jutes Proposes to Her (Again!) After She Cooks Him Marry Me Chicken
Demi Lovato and fiancé Jordan 'Jutes' Lutes got engaged in December 2023
Demi Lovato is having deja vu.
On Aug. 27, the “Skyscraper” singer (who uses she/they pronouns) posted a cooking video of herself making Marry Me Chicken for her fiancé Jordan "Jutes" Lutes. The dish was so good that Jutes decided to pop the question for a second time.
“I said yes! 💍 Next up on ✨Cooking with Demi✨ is one of my favorites - Marry Me Chicken. Recipe by @littlesunnykitchen and special appearance by @jutesmusic 👀🖤,” Lovato captioned the post.
In the video, she started off by introducing the chicken from the Little Sunny Kitchen blog as one of her go-to meals.
“Today we are making Marry Me chicken! It’s one of my favorite chicken recipes, and I think it worked because I am getting married!” she said, showing off her stunning engagement ring.
Lovato then began by slicing three chicken breasts into thin cutlets and seasoning them with salt and pepper.
Everything was going well until she burned the oil and butter she was using to sear the chicken. “Oh no! Did I burn it?” she said. Shrugging off the minor mishap, she replenished the ingredients and carried on. To top off the recipe, she added in garlic, chicken broth, heavy cream, various seasonings and sundried tomatoes.
When the Marry Me Chicken was done, she handed a plate to a very excited Jutes. After he took a bite, he said, “Baby, this is amazing!”
Dazzled by Lovato's cooking skills, he took out a ring box and got down on one knee. “Will you marry me?” he asked his fiancée.
While Lovato playfully swooned, the pair ended the video with a kiss. “She said yes!” Jutes joked.
The couple actually got engaged in December. Jutes popped the question with a bespoke pear-shape diamond solitaire engagement ring made by N.Y.C. jewelry boutique Material Good.
Following the "personal and intimate proposal," Jutes and Lovato celebrated at Craig's, one of their favorite L.A. restaurants, to celebrate with their families.

On Aug. 20, Jutes penned a heartfelt tribute to Lovato on her 32nd birthday.
"Happy birthday to my whole world. You deserve nothing but happiness and love because that’s what you give to everyone you meet," wrote the musician.
He then expressed his excitement for their future nuptials.
"Ps can’t wait to marry ur fine ass,” he quipped.
