Details as to the plot of the film, centered on Superman’s cousin, remain under wraps. But production has just gotten underway in the UK.

Craig Gillespie is directing from a script by Ana Nogueira. The project is based on Tom King’s 2022 comic book series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which Bilquis Evely illustrated. DC bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran are producing, with DC EVP Chantal Nong executive producing.

Most recently seen in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and indie Lousy Carter, Krumholtz’s upcoming slate also includes 20th Century Studios’ Bruce Springsteen biopic Deliver Me from Nowhere, the A24 horror film Altar, comedy Miracle on 74th Street, and dark comedy Forelock.

Beecham has been seen in films like Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant, Cruella and Outside the Wire, as well as series like 1899 and Into the Badlands. Among her other upcoming projects is CBS Studios’ period drama King & Conqueror.
