David Henrie Teases Possible Gregg Sulkin Appearance in “Wizards of Waverly Place” Revival After Set Visit
"Guess who visited settttttttttt 🐺?" said Henrie
Everything is not what it seems in Waverly Place – or is it?
David Henrie, who is starring in the Wizard of Waverly Place revival Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, recently got fans excited about his former costar Gregg Sulkin possibly appearing on the beloved Disney Channel program's next iteration.
"Guess who visited settttttttttt 🐺? The one and only @greggsulkin," wrote Henrie, 35, next to two Instagram photos of him and Sulkin on set. Henrie also shared the pictures on X.
While the image of Justin Russo (Henrie) and Mason Greyback (Sulkin) together again quickly got fans buzzing, Henrie said that Sulkin, 32, was "visiting" while replying to a fan on X who asked, "Just visited set or filmed on set? 😎"

"For now… 😜 💜," the fan responded to Henrie.
The same excitement was expressed in Henrie's Instagram comment section, as Boy Meets World and Girl Meets World alum Danielle Fishel wrote: "Whaaaatttt!!? Two of my absolute favorites together is almost too much. ❤️"
News of a Wizards of Waverly Place revival was first announced in January. Selena Gomez, who starred in the original series as Alex Russo will appear as a guest star and serve as executive producer.

The new series' name, along with first-look images, was revealed at the ABC and Disney Upfronts event in May.
According to an official synopsis, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place follows "an adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to lead a normal, mortal life with his family: Giada (Mimi Gianopulos), Roman (Alkaio Thiele), and Milo (Max Matenko).
"When Justin’s sister, Alex Russo, brings Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown) to his home seeking help, Justin realizes he must dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities — and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World," the synopsis adds.

In February, David DeLuise and Jennifer Stone, who starred in the original, confirmed on their Wizards of Waverly Pod that they had discussed their characters’ returns with Henrie.
“David [Henrie] has said after the pilot, you know, which apparently now when you do a pilot you don’t have the back nine already, so once that happens I think Jerry Russo (DeLuise) and Harper (Stone) down the road could come back because we’re in that world,” DeLuise, 52, said. "I think it’s going to be successful and I think everything is going to work out."
