Daisy Edgar-Jones Looks Ethereal in a Flowing Sky-Blue Gucci Gown
Daisy Edgar-Jones has quickly established herself as someone to watch, not just on screen but on the red carpet too. With the help of stylist Dani Michelle, the actor pulled off one of the most sartorially successful press tours of this year, promoting her summer blockbuster Twisters with a flurry of cyclone-themed outfits. Her storm of looks briefly ceased after the movie’s run ended—at least up until her appearance yesterday at the Toronto Film Festival.
Stepping out for the world premiere of her film On Swift Horses, Edgar-Jones embodied elegance in a sky-blue Gucci gown. The garment’s airy pleated fabric hit the floor, somewhat disguising a pair of strappy white heels, although the ensemble’s sheerness revealed a matching blue romper worn underneath. A daring neckline plunged nearly to the actor’s belly button in a deep V-shape, while an asymmetrical necktie flowed over her right arm with each gust of wind.
Edgar-Jones sparingly accessorized the whimsical gown, instead choosing to highlight its color with coordinating makeup. A powdery blue eyeshadow was placed at the inner corners of her eyes, while fluttery lashes and a clear lip gloss offered a more natural glam. She wore her highlighted brown hair in a half-up, half-down style, allowing a pair of chunky gold ear cuffs to peek out from her ‘do.
Later in the night, the actor posed with co-star Jacob Elordi, who brought his own glamour to the carpet in an olive green suit. Underneath, he wore a white button-down—generously unbuttoned to showcase a beaded necklace—as well as a pair of patent black leather dress shoes. As Elordi posed with Edgar-Jones, they shared quite a few laughs and intimate glances, feeding into their character’s chemistry.
Based on Shannon Pufahl’s 2019 book of the same name, On Swift Horses is a 1950s drama that follows newlyweds Muriel (Edgar-Jones) and Lee (Will Poulter) who are beginning a new life when he returns from the Korean War. Their relationship is upended, however, by the arrival of Lee’s younger brother, Julius (Elordi).
