Cynthia Erivo maintained her method dressing streak for her appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday in New York City. The actress discussed her upcoming film “Wicked,” costarring Ariana Grande.
For her appearance on the eponymous host’s late-night show, Erivo chose a long-sleeve leather dress from Salon 1884’s spring 2025 collection.

Her ornate look featured buttons along the front placket, detailing inside the cuffs, a sharp collar and exaggerated open-flap pockets at the hips. Erivo complemented the dress with a dramatic wide-brim hat and added a pop of color with green heels.
To accessorize her look, Erivo chose a series of earrings and jewel-encrusted long nails by Clawz by Dior. Her makeup was done by artist Joanna Simkin. Erivo collaborates with stylist Jason Bolden on her looks.
Salon 1884’s spring 2025 collection is inspired by 18th-century Venice, particularly the tales of Giacomo Casanova. Pieces from the collection feature subdued grandeur with certain exaggerated elements in dark tones.
The look continues to capitalize on Erivo’s iterations on the dark glamour trend. The actress has embraced this trend on several occasions while promoting “Wicked,” wearing pieces evocative of her character, Elphaba, in the movie musical adaptation. Throughout the film’s promotional tour, Erivo has worn designs by Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Thom Browne and more.
“Wicked” chronicles the origin stories of Glinda the Good Witch (Grande) and Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West (Erivo). The film adapts the Tony Award-winning musical, which debuted in 2003, and hits theaters on Nov. 22.
