Cutouts were among the major trends featured on the red carpet at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles. Olivia Rodrigo, Cynthia Erivo, Miley Cyrus and more were among the A-list guests and celebrity attendees who styled the trend with their own unique spin.

Olivia Rodrigo

Olivia Rodrigo opted for a vintage dress in this Versace look from the Italian luxury fashion house’s spring 2000 ready-to-wear collection. Rodrigo’s dress featured cutouts on the bodice, including the sides. She accessorized with jewelry by Tiffany & Co. and shoes courtesy of Stuart Weitzman. The dress is from the same collection as Jennifer Lopez’s memorable Versace gown.

Cynthia Erivo

Cynthia Erivo also went the cutout route with this custom look courtesy of Louis Vuitton. The dress featured a blue, long sleeve look with a reflective silver bodice and high-neckline. A cutout was featured at the waist. The “Wicked” Oscar nominee‘s look was curated by stylist Jason Bolden.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus stepped onto the red carpet in a sleeveless leather dress with cutout on the bodice. The dress, courtesy of Saint Laurent, including a criss-cross element at the neckline and a high-waist skirt. Cyrus’ look was curated by stylist Bradley Kenneth.

Coco Jones

Coco Jones added a sultry edge to her take on the cutout trend. The singer opted for a custom design courtesy of Defaïence in a red hue. Cutouts for the look featured on the bodice, with a thigh-high slit element on the skirt.

Victoria Monét

Victoria Monét also embraced cutouts in her Grecian style look on the red carpet at the 2025 Grammy Awards. The look featured cutouts on the torso. The dress was made complete with a flowing cape that accentuated the skirt.

The 67th Grammy Awards, hosted by Trevor Noah at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, celebrated the best in music while also raising funds for wildfire relief efforts in California and honoring first responders. Beyoncé led the nominations with a record-breaking 11 nods. Other top nominees included Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Taylor Swift.
