The news follows the cancellation of this Saturday’s BAFTA Tea Party, an awards season January tradition.

“In light of the dangerous winds and wildfires in Los Angeles, we are cancelling this weekend’s BAFTA Tea Party. The safety of our colleagues, friends and peers in Los Angeles remains our utmost priority and our thoughts are with everyone impacted,” wrote a BAFTA Tea Party rep.

Some of the recent cancellations include the premiere of Roadside Attractions Gia Coppola feature Showgirl and Paramount’s Better Man.

As of this morning, the toll from the latest wildfires included two people dead, multiple injured and more than 320,000 people without power. The Palisades Fire has burnt more than 5,000 acres and destroyed some 1,000 structures.
