Costco's New Dangerously Delicious Bakery Item Has Shoppers Saying 'I'll Take 3'
As innocuous as breakfast might seem, it can be quite the hot-button topic. For some, the most important meal of the day consists of crispy bacon, eggs and all the glorious fixings, while others prefer to start their day with nothing more than a few cups of liquid octane.
If you threw a dart in any direction, you’d get seven different opinions on whether people prefer waffles or pancakes, biscuits and gravy or even if they eat breakfast at all. It’s a proverbial grab bag of epic proportions—and you’d be surprised how heated people can get over a few scrambled eggs (over medium for me, please).

Regardless of your breakfast preferences, there are plenty of options on the market tailored to your unique early-morning palette—even if all you’re after is a great cup of coffee and a handful of granola. Sweet, savory or indifferent, there’s nothing better than perusing the aisles of Costco to find what new and exciting items have made their way to the club. And as always, they manage to find a way to overdeliver.
But for those of you that feel French toast doesn’t suit your fancy and you’d much rather prefer an Everything bagel for brekkie, you’re in for a treat with the bulk grocer’s latest bakery find that fans are saying “Sounds yum!!” The brunchy delicacy in question was shared by @whats_in_your_cart in collaboration with @costcodeals, and we might not even wait for breakfast to try it.
The new Onion Cheese Pinwheels are a buttery, flaky croissant dough filled with sweet caramelized onions and cheese, rolled up and topped with a generous sprinkling of savory Everything seasoning. Even a breakfast hater couldn’t resist sneaking a bite. Six-pack clamshells were spotted in the larger-than-life retailer’s bakery section priced at a modest $11.99—or just about $1.99 per pastry.

Despite the few expected naysayers, most shoppers reported that the new baked good was “Really good 🩷” Someone claiming to be an employee on the Costco-focused Reddit thread even mentioned trying them as “cheese/ham sandwiches” and we think we may have found our next meal prep hack. Bonus points if you crisp these up in the air fryer and top them with a bit of scallion cream cheese, smoked salmon and capers. You could also skip breakfast altogether and turn these into quick and easy croutons for a salad. Is anyone else suddenly hungry?
