Costco's 'Amazing' New Holiday Bakery Item Has Fans Sprinting to Get Their Hands On It
Here’s one you probably didn’t know: white chocolate was invented by Nestlé in 1936. To put things into perspective, the Olmecs first discovered the cacao bean as far back as 1200 B.C—over 3,200 years ago! That means the toasted vanilla-flavored confection inspired by the humble cacao bean has only been around for 88 years. Mindblowning Here’s another one: raspberries are members of the rose family. Chocolate and flowers—a match made in heaven all along.
Whether by happenstance or not, some things just go together—like coffee and cream, ketchup and mustard and peanut butter and jelly. Each confident in its own identity while simultaneously supporting the other to create a nuanced complexity that’s difficult to describe.

Take raspberries and white chocolate, for example. Creamy, sweet white chocolate juxtaposed by the tart and tangy flavors of raspberry—yin and yang. Delicious as the flavor combo is, though, we typically see it more often during the latter half of the year, with late summer and early fall being peak season for the ruby red fruit.
