Corinne Fox Says She and Dad Jamie Foxx Love to 'Poke Fun at Each Other' on “Beat Shazam” (Exclusive)
"It's such a blessing to be able to work with a family member and go to work and it feel like home," the 'Beat Shazam' co-host exclusively tells PEOPLE
Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, knows it's a privilege to work with her father.
Corinne — who co-hosts the the Fox competition series Beat Shazam with her dad — raved about what she loves most about working with Day Shift star.
“Oh my god, it is so much fun working on Beat Shazam with my dad. He is a firecracker,” the 30-year-old actress told PEOPLE at the 2024 Fox Upfront in New York City on Monday, May 13.

“He has more energy than I do; he doesn't sleep,” she joked. “He’s on there singing [and] dancing — literally tap dancing. I’m just like, ‘I need another coffee.’”
“So you can expect a lot of energy, a lot of singing, and really great stories,” she teased of the show's upcoming season. “We have these amazing contestants who come from all walks of life, who really deserve the win, and when they do win, you really are rooting for them.”
“And I’m usually crying every episode,” she admitted. “So I’m sure you will be too.”
Corinne also shared that she grateful for the opportunity to work with her dad.
“I think we have that typical father-daughter relationship where you can poke fun at each other,” she confessed. “But at the end of the day, it's all love, and it's such a blessing to be able to work with a family member and go to work, and it feel like home.”
The father-daughter duo have recently returned to the Beat Shazam stage together after the Oscar winner took a brief hiatus to recover from an unknown health battle.
The Dreamgirls star was hospitalized in April 2023 following a "medical complication." The father-daughter duo opted out of their hosting duties and Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne were tapped to temporarily host of the series.

The reality series features teams of two who fight against the clock — and each other — while identifying the "biggest hit songs of all time," all in hopes of scoring the $1 million prize. The team with the "most money banked" from the previous rounds gear up to go against Shazam, "the world's most popular song identification app.”
