Coleen Rooney showed the impressive plan she put in place for her four kids ahead of starring on I'm A Celebrity. (ITV)

I'm A Celebrity 2024 contestant Coleen Rooney meticulously "planned and prepared" for her time away from her four children. The 38 year old, who set off for Australia this morning after dropping her kids at school, shared how she's ensured her family are all set up to manage in her four-week absence while she's in the jungle.

Posting a video on Instagram, Rooney showed two large whiteboards covered in schedules for her children and said an "army of support" will help keep family life running smoothly.

Coleen admitted that she was "really anxious" about leaving her four sons - Kai, 13, Klay, 10, Kit, seven, and Cass, five - who she shares with her husband, former England footballer Wayne Rooney.

The mother-of-four said she has been asked to go on the show "for so many years" but always declined as "the kids have been young". But, this year, felt like the right time for her to do something for herself.

"I am really anxious about leaving the kids, that's my biggest thing, for weeks and months that's been on my mind," she says in the video. "But, I've come to terms with it and I've planned and prepped, I've got an army of people - family and friends - school friends all helping out with the kids. They are going to be fine, they'll probably have a great time."

"I've prepped as you can see, behind me,” she added, showing an A1 whiteboard covered in red pen behind her, “that is literally front and back four weeks of timetables, football runs, parties and everything."

Rooney also showed she had prepped a card and toy for each child in addition to laying out their school uniforms for the following day. "I wrote them all a little card each when they get home from school tomorrow and a little teddy each so they know I am constantly thinking of them," she added.

Her comments section has since been flooded with well wishes and messages of support for the famous mum. Former Queen of the Jungle, Giovanni Fletcher commented: "F*** yeah! Can't wait to see your humour shine!" as Fearne McCann added: "oh yesss [fire emoji] absolutely queen Coleen!"

"I'm emotional watching this, do it for all us mums," another user added, as a fourth wrote: "Can only imagine how anxious you're feeling, but the kids will be fine and good on you!!"

"No need to worry about the kids, they're gonna love seeing mama on TV doing all that crazy stuff!" one follower penned, and added: "You'll become their hero!"
