In a statement to Parade, La Colombe shared that the new canned beverage, which will be available through April 15 at major retailers nationwide, is “Made with natural strawberry flavoring and real cocoa.”
Niel Sandfort, Chief Innovation Officer for Chobani and La Colombe, said “Limited-edition flavors tend to be most popular in fall and winter where flavor profiles are more defined, yet this is not exactly the peak of cold coffee season. We’re excited to lead the way in Spring seasonal flavors by bringing Strawberry Mocha, an innovative, first-of-its-kind flavor, to consumers who want to enjoy an indulgent treat with less sugar. It tastes like a ripe strawberry dipped in chocolate.”
Fans were excited to hear the news when La Colombe introduced the new beverage on social media.

Several fans were intrigued by the idea, but disappointed by the ingredients, writing, “need this with oatmilk 🥲,” and “please make dairy free ones again 😭😭.”
While the commenters did not specify why they wanted a dairy-free option of the beverage, if lactose intolerance was their rationale, it should be noted that the canned lattes contain lactase.
The enzyme, which helps people digest lactose, is the active ingredient in over-the-counter lactose intolerance supplements like Lactaid.
