Timothée Chalamet Was Asked About Kylie Jenner, And I'm Impressed With How He Handled It
As a professional minder of other people's business, one couple I've been dying to know more about is Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner.
They've been linked for almost two years (since April 2023, to be exact) but they're super private people, choosing to keep the intimate details of their relationship to themselves.
And last night at the Palm Springs International Film Awards, Timothée expertly avoided a question about her.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Timothée, who received the Chairman Award for his performance in A Complete Unknown, was asked how it felt to have Kylie there to support him. "You have a lot of supporters in here," the reporter asked. "I know you also brought your partner in crime, Kylie, here, too. What's it like to have her supporting you on a night like this?"
"It's a great feeling to be in a room with so much love and so many great peers, and people that are fantastic," Timothée said, not directly addressing Kylie.
"I like seeing the new wave and the new generation here," he continued. "I also like seeing everyone who's been holding it down [for] decades plus."
Knowing how they value privacy, people were impressed with how he answered the question.
At the same time, some didn't exactly understand all the secrecy.
One fan wrote, "I would be so upset if my boyfriend refused to acknowledge me or be seen with me."
Another agreed, saying, "I may not be rich, but at least I date men who aren’t ashamed to admit they co exist in the same galaxy as me."
While someone else argued, "They can’t win either way. If they talk about the relationship then ppl will say it’s just a PR relationship. If they’re private then he’s ashamed of her. Obviously whatever dynamics they have has been working so far. They’ve lasted for almost two years. I swear people get so fucking weird about this relationship."
