Millions Of People Are Saying The Marketing On Nutter Butter's TikTok Is What Gen Alpha Content Looks Like, And Frightening Is An Understatement
Remember how weird people felt watching the old Quiznos commercials featuring their Spongmonkeys? Well, people on TikTok are having eerily similar reactions to Nutter Butter's social media content.
And millions of them are sharing their unease with the brand's marketing, like user jimmykryack, who said, "Y'all are like, 'It's okay if you let Gen Z do marketing for brands — the people who did Wendy's on Twitter did it so well'... And now we have to deal with whatever the fuuuuuuuuuuuck is going on on the Nutter Butter account. This is y'alls fault!!!"
lol hope they'll still take your return at Spirit Halloween after the stink of this tweet gets on the costume

Wendy's has been known for its subtle roasts on Twitter since 2017. And, in 2020, after Dunkin' Donuts launched a campaign for their new Spicy Ghost Pepper Donut by roasting multiple fast food chains, Wendy's skillfully started burning back on the platform.
Now, I think it is safe to say Nutter Butter is currently the most-talked-about brand on social media, with its most recent 14 TikTok videos reaching nearly 70 million views. Which is even more shocking because their website is very unassuming and generic...
But their TikTok content is not. Take a deep breath, and let's dissect 🥜Nutter Butter🥜 TikTok.
One of the most-viewed videos on their page has surpassed 10 million views and, at only 12 seconds long, it feels like a never-ending brain warp. Here is the first visual you will get with psychedelic Nutter Butter original music:
This is followed by dancing Nutter Butters and a robotic voice chanting, "In a land where peanut prance, in a land where peanut prance..."
"Cookie do the nutty dance."
This random image of a cat will appear multiple times for, like, a split second between the dancing Nutter Butters. (I had to pause the video to screenshot because it is that quick.)
The chant repeats a few times before ending with this:
If you want to get the full experience, we've embedded the video below. That being said, here's your warning to NOT take an edible before watching.
I present Nutter Butter Tok:
Besides the initial shock and curiosity about how this video came about...
Many people are fearful this is what Gen Alpha content looks like:
Because there are a good amount of people who said it was "cute."
Fellow brands are also having mixed reactions. ColourPop is terrified.
Subway and Clearblue on the other hand think it is funny and they relate.
A lot of others just seem confused.
However, one thing is clear, people are talking abut Nutter Butter.
So much so that it's making people who haven't thought of them in years buy their cookies again.
So many TikTokers are voicing concerns asking if they're okay that Nutter Butter is stitching their videos with responses like this:
According to them, they are, indeed, doing alright.

So whether or not the content is analog horror or just straight-up made for Gen Alphas...
It is reminding people of other historically weird marketing moments.
So, if this freaked you out, I wouldn't suggest venturing over to the Teletubbies page.
Nutter Butter, you do you.
