Married Bachelorette star's secret wedding photos surface

Bachelorette frontrunner Carlin Sterritt dropped a huge bombshell during Thursday night’s episode, revealing to Angie Kent, 29, that he is, in fact, not single.

The 30-year-old fitness trainer is actually married - and has been for three years.

And now, photos of his secret wedding - and the identity of his wife - have emerged.

Australia watched on as the handsome and charming Sydneysider swept Angie off her feet on the red carpet, and wooed her with his guitar and a song at the first cocktail party.

Our clearly smitten bachelorette then gifted Carlin with the coveted ‘24-hour rose,’ securing him a day-long single date with the blonde beauty.

It was on that camping trip that the sometime-model/actor - who coincidentally has appeared in multiple wedding photoshoots in the past - came clean about his relationship status, leaving Angie stunned.

“I’m the kinda guy who wants to be open and transparent,” he said to the ex-Gogglebox star, before adding, “I am… married.”

Carlin went on to explain to a clearly shell-shocked Angie that he married in 2016 but that he and his wife have been separated for a year and a half.

“We drifted apart. And I was pretty hurt in the process. She’s moved overseas now so for me it was like I’ve closed that chapter of my life,” he explained.

“We filed for divorce and stuff and I suppose that’s the last stage of that,” he added.

In a later interview, Angie admitted that the revelation “threw a spanner in the works” with regards to their budding romance.

“The bloke’s bloody married!” she exclaimed.

Who is Carlin’s wife?

The identity of Carlin’s wife has been revealed as a woman named Taran who has since left Australia.

Her Instagram profile is on private, however, she does post makeup tutorials on YouTube.

In March 2016, just months before she and Carlin tied the knot, the pair won The Bride’s Market ‘Couple Search’ award.

Carlin and Taran said ‘I do’ in a spring ceremony at Casa Ciani Guest House in Crabbes Creek, north of Byron Bay.

Viewers wasted no time in taking to social media to share their thoughts on fan favourite Carlin’s big reveal.

While many were just as gobsmacked as Angie, others didn’t see the bachelor’s marital status as an issue.

Is Carlin after love or fame?

After his bombshell, Angie questioned if Carlin was truly committed to finding love on the reality TV show, or if he was there for other reasons.

“Sometimes we do crazy things when we're trying to get over someone,” she hinted to him.

Carlin went on to assure her that he’s there for the right reasons, adding that his wedding and subsequent marriage breakdown ‘feels like a lifetime ago’.

In Carlin’s bio on 10 Play, he remained ambivalent about his thoughts on marriage or getting engaged on the show.

“I’m not one to rush things if the compatibility needs to be explored more. I’m very open to the idea but won’t if I’m not ready,” he replied.
