Yahoo Lifestyle Christian Louboutin To Launch Nail Polish
If you're a Christian Louboutin fanatic, you'll be pleased to hear the shoe maestro is about to launch his own line of nail polishes.
But don't be fooled: these aren't your average varnishes. Taking 22 weeks to make and priced at US $50 each, the bottles have been designed to mimic the sharp heels Louboutin is known for.
"If I do beauty, I have to do it my way," the renowned shoe designer told WWD. "I am someone who likes objects."
Louboutin is launching with his signature red shade, aptly titled 'Rouge Louboutin', which is said to have more pigment than any other polish on the market (hence the expensive price tag).
Louboutin plans to follow up with 30 other shades, which will coincide with his various shoe collections, and has also announced plans to open a stand-alone beauty shop in Paris next year.
