Chris Pratt, Maria Shriver Celebrate Patrick Schwarzenegger's Engagement to Abby Champion

Patrick Schwarzenegger's family is celebrating his happy holiday news!

The 30-year-old actor and his model girlfriend, Abby Champion, announced on Instagram Tuesday that they are engaged. Several of Schwarzenegger's family members have since posted congratulatory messages for the pair, including his mother, Maria Shriver, sister Katherine Schwarzenegger and Katherine's husband, Chris Pratt.

Shriver, 68, posted a message on Instagram, writing that she is "beyond excited" for the couple and their future together.

"So this happened, and I’m beyond thrilled! I’m beyond inspired. I’m beyond excited. @abbychampion and @patrickschwarzenegger make such a beautiful couple!" continued Shriver, who shares Patrick with ex-husband Arnold Schwarzenegger.

"They love each other, they accept one another, they cheer one another on. They are each others best friend, confidante, and cheerleader. Their love is something to behold," she added. "I’m so happy for them, for their now, and for their future! Abby and Patrick, we all love you! 😍 Here’s to more love in our world! 💍 #inspireheartsandminds."

The former first lady of California also left a comment on her son's engagement post. "Yippee bravo we are all so happy for you for your love for your now for your future your love is inspiring joy joy joy ❤️," she wrote.

Katherine, 34, reshared a photo from her brother and future sister-in-law's engagement shoot on her Instagram Stories, writing, "Joy joy joy I love them both so much."

Pratt, 44, also featured an engagement photo on his own Stories with the enthusiastic message, "Epic!! Congrats @patrickschwarzenegger and @abbychampion. We love you both!"

Patrick and Champion revealed their engagement in a joint post that featured a series of photos from what appeared to be a beach proposal.

In one of the shots, Patrick kissed the model, 26, sweetly on the cheek, while she held her hand against her chest, displaying her double-diamond engagement ring. A second photo showed the couple kissing while standing in the sand behind a large heart-shaped arrangement of red roses. In another image, they shared a glimpse of a celebratory cake decorated with a photo of the pair.

"💍❤️FOREVER AND EVER ❤️💍," they captioned the images.

Patrick later added a post on his Instagram Stories, declaring that "she said yes."

The couple, who has been dating since 2015, have shared a few rare insights into their relationship over the years.

In 2019, Patrick raved about how supportive Champion is of his blossoming acting career. "I think the best part about having her by my side is that she's always rooting for me and wanting the best for me and bringing out the best in me!" he told E! News. "I always say that in a relationship, you have to be each other's biggest cheerleader. Build each other up. And she does that for me."

In a touching 25th birthday tribute to Champion last year, he wrote on Instagram, "I love this girl so much," before listing some of her special qualities that endeared her to him. "Such a hard worker. So beautiful. Faithful. Drinks 2 cups of coffee! Loves ice cream. Loves her sugary cocktails. Loves Jesus & America too," he wrote.

Champion returned the favor in September 2022 when Patrick turned 29, posting a short but sweet tribute to him on Instagram. "Happy birthday patch @patrickschwarzenegger. Love you so much 🤍," she wrote.
