Chiefs Fans Aren't Sold on Hallmark Film's New Trailer With Travis Kelce's Mom Donna: 'Makes Me Want to Hide Under My Desk'
With just over two weeks to go until the premiere of Hallmark's Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story on Saturday, Nov. 30, the official trailer for the Christmas rom-com—seemingly inspired by the extensive hype surrounding the team over the last year or so—has finally arrived.
Today debuted the trailer, featuring both Chiefs star Travis Kelce's mother Donna and anchor Jenna Bush Hager in her acting debut. Even head coach Andy Reid made a cameo, and it features all of the hallmarks—pardon the pun—of a classic holiday rom-com. But, unfortunately, some fans aren't sold so far.

The lighthearted, cheesy romance many have come to love in a classic Christmas film was apparently a little too meta for some, with one commenter quickly replying, "Omg - the existence of this movie makes me want to hide under my desk. 😬😬😬."
"Omg!!!!! Noooooooo," another agreed.
While some of the negative response certainly stemmed from fans of opposing teams, with one comment reading, "Chiefs = 🤮🤢🤮," others seemed to feel, based on the timing, that Hallmark and the NFL were trying to capitalize even further on the team's tight end's relationship with Taylor Swift.
However, as others pointed out, "Y’all so mad, but do realize that Hallmark is a KANSAS CITY COMPANY?! And this movie has nothing to do with a player and singer?"
"I feel like a lot of the complainers haven't even looked up the plot 😂," another fan pointed out.
While many have hoped that Swift and her NFL beau would make an appearance in the final product, it seems unlikely to come to fruition, so everyone can likely rest assured that art will not be imitating life too closely in this case.
