'Chicago P.D.'s Tracy Spiridakos Praises Jesse Lee Soffer in New Photo Ahead of Her Last Episode

Ahead of Tracy Spiridakos taking her final bow as Detective Hailey Upton on Chicago P.D. Season 11, the actress praised her former co-star, Jesse Lee Soffer.

Spiridakos took to Instagram on the day her penultimate episode of the long-running NBC police procedural drama aired.

"Tonight’s episode was directed by the one and only, our very own @jesseleesoffer 🥳🥳🥳!!" she wrote of her rumored boyfriend. "And you guys, it’s a realllllllly good one. You don’t want to miss it."

In the main image, Spiridakos and Soffer—who left Chicago P.D. as an actor after Season 10 but continued to contribute behind the scenes—smiled while posing together in a hallway. Other pictures showed Soffer in his element while sitting in the director's chair during filming.

In the comments, Soffer replied, "Awww!!"

Meanwhile, fans hoped against the odds that Soffer's character, Jay Halstead, would reappear in the series. One person pleaded, "Please let this be the episode that brings back Jay Halstead 😀😀😀."

Another Instagram user commented, "So cool 👏👏👏. Well done but man I wish Hailey had Jay back. My heart still hurts for her."

Someone else wrote, "I will miss you each week! I so hope Jay comes back next episode and makes Haley happy. She deserves it. You are so not allowed to die, next week!!! I may not be able to watch again if Haley dies!!!"

Variety reported in October that Season 11 would be Spiridakos' last. For fans' sake, hopefully, Halstead and Upton ride off into the sunset together.

Catch the Chicago P.D. Season 11 finale on Wednesday, May 22, at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
