'Chicago P.D.' Fans Express Growing Concern Over Cast Member's Absence

Fans have kicked off a manhunt for Chicago P.D.'s Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar).

The latest episode of the NBC police drama, which had LaRoyce Hawkins' fans saying the same thing, also made everyone question Torres' whereabouts.

While it's easy to lose track of what everyone in Intelligence is up to week-to-week, Torres' absence was evident on Chicago P.D. Season 12 Episode 17, with a brief mention of it by his on-screen unit raising even more questions.

In the episode titled "Transference," Kiana Cook (Toya Turner) asked Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) about Torres' absence and was informed he took PTO.

When she asked if anyone knew why he needed the time off, Burgess responded, "I don't know, he didn't say."

But this wasn't the first time fans raised concern over Torres' absence as he has been missing from the show for two episodes in a row.  Fans took their concerns to social media, noting that he was also MIA from Chicago P.D. Season 12 Episode 16.

One fan even questioned if Torres was still mourning the death of Gloria Perez (Yara Martinez), his former C.I. with whom he began a romantic relationship with, and who was eventually murdered on Chicago P.D. Season 12 Episode 8.

Torres was also the focus of Chicago P.D. Season 12 Episode 12, where he went undercover to a juvenile detention center where he served time as a teen to take down an abuser from the inside.

It's fair to say, since joining the squad on the Dick Wolf police procedural, Torres has faced a lot of traumatic and tense situations, many of which connect to his complicated upbringing. Life in Intelligence is extremely taxing, so we'd be totally understanding if he simply needed to take some me-time to unwind.

And the good news is that he's not gone forever as he's set to return on Chicago P.D. Season 12 Episode 18 as seen in the promo for the episode titled "Demons," which will focus on show lead Sgt. Hank Voight (Jason Beghe).

Sadly, fans will have to wait a smidge longer for that episode as P.D. will be on hiatus for a week, returning with a brand new episode on Wed. April 16.

As for Levy Aguilar, he continues to support and rep the show on social media, posting about "the wrap" a week ago.

He was also seen attending the wrap party with the rest of the cast, including Squerciati and her on-screen love interest Patrick Flueger, who plays Adam Ruzek.
