Chelsea Handler.Chelsea Handler is ringing in her 50th birthday in a bold way!
The comedian celebrated the major milestone on Feb. 25 by skiing down a mountain in nothing but a red bikini, with a large group of women also sporting bathing suits in the snow. The special day was also marked by the release of her latest book, Handler shared in an Instagram post.
"Today is the day I turn 50!" she began in the caption. "Today is also the day my 7th book, I'LL HAVE WHAT SHE'S HAVING, is out. Give it to someone you love who needs a little boost or injection of confidence. If you want the recipe, baby I got it!"
Handler also added #MidCenturyJoy and thanked "all the chicks that showed up to ski in their [bikinis]."
The video shows Handler gliding down a snowy mountain with about 20 other women in bathing suits. Later in the clip she takes off in a blue snowmobile joined by her fluffy dog Doug as she exits the vehicle, apparently ready to take another trip down the mountain again.
Handler's new book, I'll Have What She's Having, chronicles “hilarious and tender stories about Chelsea Handler's path to becoming the woman she always wanted to be,” an official synopsis reads.
“I wanted to fast-forward through all of my youth and misery, and become the more glamorous, successful, adult version of myself," Handler wrote. "The woman I’d become would be passionate and fiery and courageous. She’d never be afraid to tell the truth, no matter the consequences. She’d make others feel brighter, better. She’d make a living being herself."
