Charlize Theron has shocked fans with her appearance in a new teaser for upcoming film Bombshell opposite Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie.
The film which centres around the infamous Fox News scandal which saw journalist Gretchen Carlson sue the network over accusations that then-CEO Roger Ailes sexually assaulted her and other women including Megyn come forward.
Oscar winner Nicole might be playing the central character of Gretchen, but it’s Charlize’s appearance as the network’s famous former anchor Megyn Kelly that has really got people talking.
The teaser shows the two women, along with Margot Robbie playing a made up associate producer, sharing a tense elevator ride.
The shots of Charlize as Megyn show the actress sporting what seems to be a prosthetic nose and extreme cheekbones in a full-blown transformation that renders her more like Megyn than herself.
Comparative shots of the star highlight just how extreme a transformation it is, but this isn’t unfamiliar territory for Charlize who moulded her face into an unrecognisable character in the past.
The 44-year-old took home an Oscar for her turn as murderer Aileen Wuornos, for which she notoriously underwent a dramatic transformation to bring the notorious killer to life.

The film follows the infamous scandal that saw Megyn, Gretchen and others publicly come forward with claims of sexual assault against Ailes in 2016.
Gretchen Carlson eventually sued Fox over the allegations, and Ailes was forced to step down.
A 2016 memoir by Kelly contributed massively to the fallout, with personal anecdotes of her own allegations against Ailes propelling the case into the public eye.
Ailes has always denied the allegations despite his eventual resignation, and the film promises to delve into the story behind the headlines in a new level of detail.
It looks like the actor may also be taking a leaf out of Nicole Kidman’s book on the path to a second Academy Award.
The Australian actor famously won an Oscar in 2003 for her portrayal of Virginia Wolf in The Hours which saw her also don a prosthetic nose.
And we all know nothing spells Academy Award quite like a prothetic or two.
Bombshell hits cinemas in January 2020, so you have until then to acclimatise yourself to the new Charlize Theron, or should we say Megyn Kelly.
