Charli XCX Makes a Dramatic Arrival in Jean Paul Gaultier Ruffled Dress for Grammys 2025 Red Carpet

Charli XCX brought drama to the red carpet at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles. The artist is nominated for eight Grammys, including Record of the Year and Album of the Year for her 2024 summer hit “Brat.”

For the awards show, Charli opted for a custom design courtesy of Jean Paul Gaultier, guest designed by Ludovic de Saint Sernin. The singer wore a gown with a thigh-high slit at the front of the dress and a bevy of ruffles on the skirt. The dress also included a standout element of a corseted bodice, providing the look with a defined silhouette. The corset featured a lace-up element at the back.

The ruffled elements continued to the sleeves of Charli’s gown and around the neckline. The singer paired the dress with knee-high black sandal heels. She accessorized her look with pieces courtesy of Bucherer Fine Jewelry.

As for her glam, Charli’s hair was styled with sleek waves and a middle part. Her makeup included bold brows, a smokey eye and a glossy, neutral lip. The “360” singer’s look was curated by stylist Chris Horan, who’s also worked with Christina Aguilera.

2024 was Charli XCX’s year, making a name for herself in mainstream music as well as fashion. The singer boasted collaborations and campaigns with such brands as Acne Studios, Skims, H&M, Converse and more.

“[Although] celebrity partnerships are a staple in fashion marketing, the degree to which Charli XCX was featured in 2024 is remarkable,” Keith Fraley, assistant professor of fashion business management at FIT, told WWD in December 2024.

“From a fashion business management perspective, her omnipresence provided brands with consistent and high-impact touchpoints to reinforce their messaging across multiple platforms, ultimately enhancing consumer engagement.”

The 67th Grammy Awards, hosted by Trevor Noah at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, celebrated the best in music while also raising funds for wildfire relief efforts in California and honoring first responders. Beyoncé led the nominations with a record-breaking 11 nods. Other top nominees included Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Taylor Swift.
