Touring has taken a toll on Charli xcx’s body.

In an interview with Variety published on Wednesday, Dec. 4, the "Club Classics" singer opened up about how difficult it was to perform during her latest joint headlining tour, Sweat, with Troye Sivan.

“I find touring actually really hard emotionally,” the 32-year-old told the outlet.

“I find the stage — especially these days — to be a very angry place for me,” she continued. “I’ve done a lot of physical damage to my body from performing, and I’m often in a lot of pain when I perform. Physically, I have nerve damage in my neck from things I’ve done on the stage.”

“For me to give a performance that I feel is good enough, I have to really physically throw myself around — and that makes me very upset when I do it,” she added. “So it’s kind of this hell hole.”

Charli said being with Sivan made touring “easier and less of an emotional battle.” The hitmakers collaborated on "1999" and "2099" off the 2019 album Charli.

“And a lot of the other people on the tour just made me feel a lot lighter,” she added.

The British singer — who landed seven nominations for the 2025 Grammy Awards — admitted that resting isn’t something she gets to do often.

“But I also don’t really sleep these days. 2020… um, what year is it?” she quipped. “2024 has not been a very restful year, for sure.”

Although performing has caused a lot of strain on Charli’s body, she’s still gearing up for a run of 2025 dates for her latest album Brat
