The Challenge 40's individual game has started to shape up as a battle between two alliances, with former friends turned rivals. But everything got thrown for a loop with a surprise purge for the remaining players. And, though the daily surprisingly booted two former champs, it did not put Bananas out of the hot seat, as he once again had to claw his way back into the game.

Who won the daily challenge on The Challenge 40 tonight?
This week's daily was a Challenge staple: The "mini-final." In a brutal test of endurance and memory through the blazing heat, Kyland and Tori were able to dominate the rest of the competition. While Theo avoided finishing in last, despite his time penalty, his second-to-last finish put him directly into elimination. And Michele, for finishing in second-to-last, will receive a penalty in the next daily challenge.

Who are the next targets on The Challenge 40 tonight?
As the elimination winner, Bananas got to choose three women (except for the daily winner) to be targets for the next episode. He picked Cara Maria Sorbello, Michele Fitzgerald, and Olivia Kaiser.
