Hailee Steinfeld is in her “I do” era. On Friday, Nov. 29, her boyfriend, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, announced he’d proposed to his girlfriend a week earlier in a joint Instagram post showing the setting of the ultra-romantic proposal. Coming just over a year after the couple first sparked dating speculation, Travis Kelce was one of the first to publicly congratulate the pair on their engagement.

“Congratulations!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻,” the Kansas City Chiefs star commented on the post, which was shared on Instagram the day after Thanksgiving. The photo showed Allen down on one knee as a standing Steinfeld leaned down to kiss him while wearing a red and cream patterned mini dress and knee-high brown boots. The newly-engaged couple could be seen against the beach backdrop of an archway decked out with red and pink roses, hundreds of candles, and the ocean in the background.

“11•22•24,” Allen captioned the announcement with an infinity sign emoji, revealing that he’d popped the question a week earlier.

Despite being on opposing teams and often competing against each other, Allen is close with both Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, and has been photographed hugging them on the field. Meanwhile, Steinfeld has close ties to Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift, as she was part of the “Blank Space” singer’s original “squad” and was even featured in her star-studded “Bad Blood” music video in 2014.

The “Starving” singer, who previously was romantically involved with Niall Horan, was first linked to Allen back in May 2023. While Swift has yet to publicly respond to Steinfeld and Allen’s engagement announcement, the Oscar-nominated actress recently confirmed that she’s still close with the singer.

“I mean, you get a call from Ms. Swift and you run to the phone,” she told People in a 2023 interview. “It doesn't even matter what's about to be said on the other side. You run to the phone, you pick it up.”

"To be a part of Taylor's world and her vision was an honour, truly,” she shared about starring in the “Bad Blood” music video. “I’m literally chasing the dates of her Eras tour trying to figure out when I can make it.”
