In a world where showbiz romances come and go, it’s rare to see a love as enduring and passionate as Celine Dion and René Angélil.
And it’s that love, and her commitment to their three children, that is getting the superstar through the toughest days of her life following her husband’s death from cancer.

But while Celine mourns the death of her beloved René – who passed away on January 14 – friends of the 47-year-old singer reveal that she’s vowed to never marry again, staying true to the memory of her late husband.
‘René’s been a crucial part of Celine’s life and, after 21 years of marriage, it’s almost impossible to imagine how she will ever recover,’ a long-time family friend tells New Idea.

In his final days, René told Celine that he had only one wish – to die in her arms. ‘I’ll say: “You’re scared? I understand. Talk to me about it,” ’ she told USA Today. ‘And Rene says to me: “I want to die in your arms.” OK, fine, I’ll be there, you’ll die in my arms.’

Now, Celine is determined to spend the rest of her life honouring the great love she once had, one that gave the singer her greatest gifts – her precious children - Rene- Charles, 15, and five-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson, who she’s called her ‘greatest reward’..
