'Life's not a fashion show': Cassandra Thorburn on Karl's fiancée

Cassandra Thorburn won’t be compared to ex Karl Stefanovic’s soon-to-be wife, Jasmine Yarbrough.

The former wife of the Today Show host spoke at a mum’s event while their three kids were out of town for Karl’s upcoming wedding in Mexico this weekend.

While Cass refused to comment on the nuptials officially, she did speak out about life in general with a remark that appeared to be geared towards Jasmine.

“(Life) is not a fashion show, it’s not a competition,” she said, according to The Daily Telegraph.

“It is not a competition on going out and dressing up. I have been judged on my appearance… I don’t agree with it.”

Jasmine, 34, works in the fashion industry as a shoe designer — leading the crowd to suspect Cass’ remarks were aimed at her.

When quizzed by the publication as to how she was feeling, she told them she was “doing great”.

Karl, 44, is currently in LA with his fiancée and the three kids he shares with Cass, Jackson, 19, Ava, 13, and River, 11, ahead of the big day on December 8.

The pair are tying the knot at an exclusive resort in Los Cabos, favoured by celebrities like Jennifer Aniston.

Their relationship has been surrounded by controversy as it began very soon after Karl split from wife of 21 years, Cassandra.

It had been reported that the shock split had caused so tension between Karl and eldest, Jackson, who had been so upset by it all, he’d refused to attend the wedding.

However the teen’s arrival in LA with the wedding party appears to have shut down claims of ongoing “tension”.
