Two years after separating from Cassandra Thorburn, Karl Stefanovic is now calling another woman wife.
The Today show host married shoe designer Jasmine Yarbrough in a lavish ceremony in Mexico at the weekend.
The 34-year-old bride wore a J. Andreatta wedding dress with a thigh-skimming hem, and they wed with seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen by their side.
Two of Karl and Cassandra’s three children were also in attendance, but Cassandra herself was far from the chaos of the black-tie wedding.
The journalist was photographed arriving at Sydney airport on Sunday after flying back from Melbourne. She was met by her brother and looked like she didn’t have a care in the world.
Since their split, Cassandra has launched a career as a children’s book author, and there are even whispers she may secure a TV gig in 2019.
Speaking earlier this year, Cassandra told the Australian Woman’s Weekly that she doesn’t see herself even being friends with her ex.
“The children still have a father but I don’t have a husband,” she told the publication. “He really is dead to me and no, we won’t ever be friends again.”
“There has been practically no contact. I feel like we’ve been discarded and disposed of, replaced by a whole new line-up of starters.”
Family was very much a theme at Karl and Jasmine’s wedding, with Karl’s sister Elisa Pointon conducting the ceremony in front of the 180 guests.
The TV star was walked into the service by his mother Jenny, while Jasmine’s father Bob walked her down the aisle.
The likes of Richard Wilkins, Julie Bishop, Sylvia Jeffreys and British TV star Louise Roe, were among the famous guests in attendance.
At the reception later in the evening, Karl is said to have called his new wife his “saviour”.
“Jasmine, you have taken on enormous stress with me, you have taken on another family, media and social criticism that would break most — you’ve weathered it,” he said, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
“You are my rock, you are my saviour, you put me back together. I’m a better person because of you, a better friend, a better dad — tonight I celebrate and toast you Jasmine my wife.”
