Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve is back for its 54th year—and this time, Carrie Underwood is joining in on the fun!
“I’ll be closing out 2024 as I perform LIVE from Times Square on @RockinEve just before the ball drops! 🪩✨ So excited to end the year with you @RyanSeacrest,” the country star revealed on Instagram.
Of course, this isn’t Carrie’s first time partaking in the glitz and glam in Times Square on New Year’s Eve. “I have such fun memories of performing on New Year's Rockin’ Eve in Times Square in both 2007 and 2015, and I’m so excited to perform just before the ball drops again this year,” the 41-year-old singer said. “I’m thrilled to celebrate 20 years since winning American Idol by joining Ryan as he hosts his 20th New Year’s Eve in Times Square.”
As if folks needed one more reason to watch the iconic ball drop, now they have it! “Woo hoo! Finally someone good for NYE,” one fan exclaimed on Instagram. “Can't wait! Carrie Underwood is such a beautiful and talented performer,” someone else remarked. “My God, this is going to be sensational,” another fan marveled.
As stunning as Carrie’s performance (and attire) is bound to be for the big night, she’s not the only singer we’re looking forward to watching on the last day of 2024. Other country stars set to perform during the Big Apple New Year’s Eve broadcast include Thomas Rhett, Megan Moroney, and Cody Johnson. Meanwhile, the West Coast Party portion of the broadcast will feature performances by ERNEST, HARDY, Alanis Morissette, and more.
