Carrie Bickmore's hilarious Instagram vs reality motherhood post

Carrie Bickmore has posted a series of hilarious photos online , which all mothers will be able to relate to.

The 38-year-old mum-of-three, who welcomed daughter Adelaide into the world two-months-ago, took to her Instagram to provide her 595,000 followers with a snapshot into life with a newborn.

The first photo shows The Project host lying on a couch with a hat covering her eyes as her adorable tot is fast asleep beside her.

“1st pic was taken on a flattering angle, with some props, some casual hand positioning, some clever cropping and a nice little filter added,” Carrie wrote.

Just a simple swipe right shows the reality of life with a newborn and two kids under the age of 12.

“The 2nd was the real moment captured without my knowledge a couple of weeks after Adelaide was born before I woke up and suggested we take a nice shot,” carrie said.

Her fans applauded the star for ‘keeping it real’ and ‘for making mothers everywhere feel normal’.

Just weeks after welcoming Adelaide into the family, Carrie opened up about her first couple of weeks at home with her new baby, saying her support network is everything.

Speaking about her husband on Instagram she wrote, “While I rest Chris looks after Adelaide, wrangles a cray cray 3 year old, folds the clothes and entertains a bored 11 year old …#DomesticGod #Fatherhood.”

“You can tell I am feeling grateful today…it would be so hard without support…grandparents helping out, and friends dropping off meals. Thanks to everyone helping us get through these early days”.
