Carrie Bickmore announces shock split from partner: 'Immense sadness'
The announcement comes just six weeks after Chris Walker shared a sweet birthday message.
Former star of The Project Carrie Bickmore has announced the shocking news she has split from her partner Chris Walker.
Posting a statement on her Instagram Stories, the radio presenter said, "It's with immense sadness that Chris and I have decided to separate".
"While this is a tough time, our focus is on parenting, loving and supporting our three children Ollie, Evie and Addie with everything we've got," she said.
"They are doing great."
The news comes just months after Carrie left The Project after 13 years on the program. During her last episode on November 30, she thanked Chris in a touching moment.
"To Chris, thank you for everything. Your guidance and advice over the years, your amazing production skills," she said.
"This show has given us so much. We wouldn't have our beautiful little [children] if it wasn't for The Project."

Just six weeks ago Chris also shared a sweet birthday message to Carrie on Instagram.
"Happy birthday to this babe," he said in a caption alongside a photo of the pair.
"This tribe loves you and wishes you a very relaxing day after a massive week. We love doing this life with you."
The split has also come as a shock after the family embarked on an adventure last year and moved to the UK together for three months.
When she returned in July, the star revealed on her radio show Carrie & Tommy it was "really hard".
"It didn’t all go to plan, and there were lots of times when it was really, really hard. Living away with three kids – kids are hard enough at the best of times, and living in a new place without your support network around."
At the end of their adventure, Carrie said in an Instagram post they made memories they would talk about forever.
"Was it always perfect NO. Was it always easy NO. Was it worth it YES YES YES. Nothing worthwhile comes easily. I am just so glad we had a crack," she said.
Carrie's matching tattoo with former partner
In August, Carrie also revealed on The Project she and Chris had matching tattoos. The confession was made after the program played a segment about how getting your partner's name tattooed on yourself is a "kiss of death".
The star got inked in November 2020, choosing a sentimental and dainty design – the letters ‘a’, ‘e’, ‘o’, and ‘u’ with a music note in place of the fifth vowel.
The tattoo is a sweet nod to her kids Ollie, Evie, and Adelaide, with the ‘u’ referring to Chris. He has the same ink, but with a cricket bat in place of the music note, as a nod to his late brother.

Carrie met Chris on the set of The Project in 2012 after her first husband and father to oldest son Ollie, Greg Lange, died in 2010 after a battle with brain cancer.
She and Chris later welcomed Evie and Adelaide into the world.
